Hello everyone, I wanted to post this blog to help bring information about the speed and agility camps that will be coming to Las Vegas in the near future! From working with athletes over the year and having the opportunity to watch other coaches/trainers I am appalled by some “trainers” that call themselves speed and agility coaches! It takes more than a whistle and a few cones/grills to become a quality Strength/ Speed & Agility coach.
Things to think about if you have ever worked with a “Speed/Agility coach!
1. What drills did they have you doing and why?
2. Did they really “teach” you how to run and change direction?
3. Did they show you the proper angels to take, how your body weight should be distributed?
My major concern is when I see people marketing themselves as “speed trainers” or running “youth speed and agility camps” and working with young athletes and not showing them how to do it right! (Or even worse, giving them wrong information)
Think about it! Have you ever been told how to even land? How to jump? Now this may seem very simple if you’re reading this, but I can guarantee if you show me 10 (kids ages 8-14) more than half are jumping or landing incorrectly!!
If you would like to receive more information or if you would like to be contacted with dates and times of the Las Vegas Speed and Agility camps as the camp times become available please add your email to the feed list at the top right of this page.
